Art and Molding

Over two decades now Valeria Kuznetsova is teaching her students painting on canvas and wood, sculpture and crafts incorporating various materials. The goal of her lessons is to allow the students to express themselves to their full potential, develop and improve their individual skills and bring their minds to wonder and create.

Krav-Maga

Eli Chagaev is a boxing champion of Israel and member of Aiki Krav-Maga Association of Israel. Krav-maga is an effective self-defence system used by an Israeli Army. Dynamic training for children and adults is focused on development of physical endurance, coordination, respect to self and others.

Tuesday

French

Valentina Bittie is a certified French teacher who leads classes for the junior kids in our academy. The interactive lessons provide kids with opportunities to play, sing, and have fun while learning the French language. The senior kids’ French classes are conducted by Alexander Baravi, a teacher with international work experience. Alexander ensures that his students use correct grammar and pronunciation, while helping them expand their reading abilities.

Break Dance

Having taught break dance for 17 years up to date, Kirill encourages his students to achieve their best results in conquering one of most difficult form of dance. Breakdance training greatly develops cardio-muscular system, movement coordination and flexibility, physical endurance and of course, confidence.

Wednesday

Mathematics

Alex Rosenberg is a Ontario Certified Teacher for mathematics for students in grades 4-11. The program runs in individual tutoring sessions, based on the school curriculum. Alex brings out his students’ interest in math to further their mathematical thinking and the ability to combine various concepts to solve complex problems.

Thursday

Performing Art

Sasha Sinay is a theatrical producer, an actress, a scriptwriter and an educator. With her enthusiastic leadership the kids learn about the different aspects and elements of theater arts including such fun elements as juggling, bubbles, and live sized dolls. Sasha’s groups proudly represented Canada at international youth festivals on numerous occasions and plan on continuing doing so in the future with new students.

English

Valentina Bittie is a certified English teacher at SCSB. The lessons are held in the form of a discussion/debate, which implies having students to research and analyze the topic and share their points of view in writing and in group with others. The grammatical aspect of writing and speaking is an important aspect of the class. This method of learning enhances the students’ public speaking skills along with their analytical thinking giving them confidence in themselves and knowledge of different topical subjects.

Friday

Ballroom and Latin Dance

Sergey Kirichenko is a certified judge at WDC (World Dance Council) and member of Canadian DanceSport Federation. For over 20 years Sergey has taught Ballroom and Latin-American dance to kids and adults. Ballroom and LatinAmerican dancing is an excellent way to develop physical and esthetic aspects from great posture to the way of caring oneself graciously. Adults will also find great benefits in this experience of getting a work out for the whole body and pleasure of mingling with others.

Music

Dina Litvak, a Bachelor in choir conducting and musicology, uses music as a tool for her students’ development in aesthetical, cultural, personal, and physical aspects. Toddlers learn by playing finger games, singing, practicing rhythmical movements, as well as being introduced to the different types of instruments. The older group of kids will have a chance to study the basics of music theory and piano performance and develop their musical listening skills and sense of pitch.

Language School

Julia Naris teaches the children from Russian-speaking families. Classes include blocks of writing, reading, math, geography and science. The goal is to help families educate bilingual children beyond school curriculum and foster respect to multiculturalism in Canada.

Puppy and Dog Obedience

The instructor, Eli Chagaev has decades of experience in training military dogs in Israel as well as guard, performance and pet dogs in Canada. Real life training focused on socialization, communication, guarding and care at home and outside.
